As of 27 January website owners in Serbia and the Diaspora can register the Cyrillic domain .СРБ as well. During the first six months, only the owners of existing or newly registered .RS domain names will be eligible to register .СРБ domain names at a special price. After this period, anyone will be able to register Cyrillic domain names, regardless of whether they have a specific .RS domain name or not.

DENIC hosts and kindly invites attendees to join the 9th Domain pulse specialist conference, which will take place on 13 and 14 February 2012 in Hamburg, Germany.

EURid General Manager Mr Van Wesemael noted that considering the Euro crisis and current economic situation, .eu’s growth clearly demonstrates that the European image is still positive among businesses, who are the largest category of .eu domain name holders.

At the meeting, Andrey Kolesnikov, the CC’s CEO, elaborated on the theme of the top-level domain .ДЕТИ. As a reminder, the Coordination Center is considering an initiative to apply for the respective domain under the New gTLD program. According to A. Kolesnikov, domain .ДЕТИ will be an integrated registry with the focus on children. The mission of the domain is to promote and popularize websites for children and teenagers.

JPRS is pleased to release the English translation of "DNSSEC Technology Experiment Report / Verification of Functionality and Performance" and "DNSSEC Technology Experiment Report / Operational Design". These reports are designed to introduce case examples to share knowledge and results gained through DNSSEC technology experiments which JPRS carried out in cooperation with domestic ISPs, equipment vendors and hosting providers, etc. in 2010.
