CENTR has published its Simplification Checklist, setting out the principles and targets that ccTLD registries would like to see applied across existing and new EU legislation. 

CENTR has published its Booklet of Innovations. It shows how European ccTLD registries support a resilient, open and safe internet, both through and beyond their daily operations. 

Even while attending remotely, it was obvious that the ccNSO meeting in Sevilla was a great edition. The meeting offered a rich agenda with relevant updates from around the world, it had excellent interactive sessions on the two key areas that are of the highest relevance for any ccTLD manager and it covered our industry’s hot topics such as resilience, verification and DNS abuse.

European ccTLD Market Review - April 2026 edition now live

The latest edition of the European ccTLD Market Review is now available on CENTRstats. Published twice yearly, the report tracks registration trends, pricing dynamics and technical adoption across CENTR member ccTLDs, with context from the wider domain market.

CENTR has published a comment on the proposal for the revised EU Cybersecurity Act 2 (CSA2), which was put forward by the European Commission in January 2026. The proposal aims to strengthen the EU's cybersecurity governance and introduces a new "trusted ICT supply chain framework" that would apply to essential and important entities under the NIS 2 Directive, including ccTLD registries.

The 2026 CENTR Jamboree will take place in Berlin from the 6 to the 8 May 2026.

We will repeat last year’s process with contributions from participants to shape our agenda. Both members and non-members are therefore invited to submit proposals for sessions. We are excited to announce the Call for Proposals, and we invite you to be an active contributor to this event that brings the whole community together. 

CENTR issues Board statement on the EU action plan on fighting online fraud

The 124rd IETF meeting took place in Montreal, Canada between 1 and 7 November 2025 with over 150 sessions, a 2-day hackathon, and a wide range of side events. Pawel Kowalik and Christian Simmen from DENIC attended the meeting and have written a summary of the main points of relevance for the CENTR members.

At its 74th General Assembly, CENTR engaged with the European Commission on aligning EU digital policy with global standards and supporting an open, resilient internet ecosystem. CENTR welcomed Xavier Coget, Member of the Cabinet of Executive Vice-President Henna Virkkunen for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy, as keynote speaker at its 74th General Assembly, held in Brussels.
