CENTR is looking for an interim Communications Manager (maternity cover)

CENTR is the association of European country code top-level domain name registries, and is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team temporarily as a Communications Manager (maternity cover). As part of our team, you will be responsible for implementing CENTR’s communications strategy and ensuring that our members and stakeholders are informed about the latest developments in the domain name system (DNS) industry. We can offer a consultancy contract or an equivalent short-term Belgian employment contract.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Content editing, writing, proofreading, publication and distribution through various channels, including newsletters

  • Compiling the Weekly Newsletter, with member and industry news

  • Managing CENTR’s social media presence

  • Managing the organisation’s corporate identity

  • Liaising with our international membership

  • Assisting the Office Manager in managing the CENTR website

  • Supporting on key member events and workshops

  • Supporting CENTR’s Marketing and Administrative Working Groups (dependent on candidate’s profile) 

  • Some travel may be expected

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as communications, public relations or marketing
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in communications (preferably in membership-based associations)
  • Native level of English
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a small team and self-organise
  • High-level of communication, proofreading and writing skills
  • Ability to respond quickly to new challenges
  • Eager to learn
  • Good networking skills
  • CMS experience (Joomla etc.)
  • Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other design tools
  • Service-focused and diplomatic
  • Familiarity with the DNS industry and its stakeholders is a plus

  • We can offer a consultancy contract or an equivalent 4-month Belgian employment contract (starting date 10 July 2023 at the latest, and exact duration of the contract tbc)

  • We are looking for a part-time (80%) commitment

  • Our employee contract offers flexible working hours, a competitive salary package including meal vouchers, pension plan and health insurance. The successful candidate will be able to work remotely 3 days a week
