On 20th February, a record number of participants joined the 46th Administrative Workshop in Bern; this was the best-attended stand-alone Admininstrative Workshop since 2010! It took place in Switzerland's historic capital city, straight after Domain Pulse, and was kindly hosted by SWITCH.
The agenda was packed; with an overview of SWITCH’s work, a tour de table session which revealed some common areas of focus, including Registry Lock, registrar-focused workshops and webinars, as well as CloudFest events. There were presentations on various registry tools, such as CRMs for communication with registrars, time-tracking tools, as well as discussions on how ideas are turned into projects, how employees are trained and engaged, domain name abuse prevention, the sale of a registrar and more.
Lastly, during this meeting, Sascha Kämpf was re-elected chair of the Administrative Working Group. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Sascha for his hard work and dedication to the Working Group over the years!
