From 30 May to 1 June, CENTR held its annual Jamboree meeting, kindly hosted by the Coordination Center for TLD RU/РФ. Held in Moscow, it gathered more than 150 participants from CENTR’s six Working Groups.
The Jamboree is one of CENTR’s flagship events. It is held over three days and is built in a way to encourage exchanges between its Working Groups, which usually meet independently. This year, the first day saw a joint Technical and R&D workshop, as well as an L&R workshop. Both groups joined for a final common session on data pseudonymization/anonymization at the end of the day.
On the second day, participants could choose from a range of session options, split into four different tracks. Topics ranged from tackling illegal content to using data to drive business, digital identities, IoT, GDPR and several others, but also a few trainings on Scrum/DevOps, how to facilitate, how to lead and a Kaspersky security game simulation. Members also had the option to participate in expertise matching during coffee breaks, allowing for one-on-one topic-based exchanges.
The third day was dedicated to a joint Admin and Marketing workshop focused on registry/registrar relations, as well as a Security workshop. The 3-day meeting was also punctuated by exquisite social events organised by the host.
All in all, this year’s Jamboree was a real success, thanks to great team work between the CENTR secretariat, its Working Group Chairs & Vice-Chairs, and a fantastic host.
