The CENTR Administrative Working Group highlights its 40th workshop with productive interactive sessions

News 15-02-2017

On 8-9 February 2017, CENTR held its 40th workshop in Warsaw, Poland, kindly hosted by NASK (.pl). In addition to discussions on several topics, it was also the opportunity to reflect on the past two years of the working group and to look ahead through a series of interactive sessions.

The Tour de Table demonstrated that many registries have been quite busy in the last few months. Interesting presentations and dynamic lightning talks covered a range of topics, from registrar certification and accreditation processes to 24/7 customer service, registrar surveys, expired domains management, business intelligence and policy change implementation.

The Working Group also spent an afternoon reflecting on its activities and work in the past two years through a laptop-free, interactive retrospective session moderated by an external facilitator. This session paved the road for the next morning's World Café Strategy Session, which generated many ideas for common projects, new formats, topic-based activities and themes for upcoming workshops.

The workshop was concluded by a remote-participation from Google representatives, who presented the new Nomulus registry platform. At the end of the first day, Chair and Vice-Chair Sascha Kämpf (DENIC) and Stefan Kovač (RNIDS) were re-elected by acclamation for another 2-year term each.

The full agenda, list of participants, documents & slides can be viewed here (members only).
